I have a very active and ‘bright’ personality (in fact, my last name suits me perfectly!) and I am a very close observer of reality, in which I love finding details and unusual points of view.
After receiving my diploma in photography at IED, the European Institute of Design in Rome, I spent a period of my work-life in London, experimenting with photography in various fields.
I naturally felt my authentic passion blooming only when I approached photography of interior spaces, a field in which I made my first few steps photographing vacation homes in Argentario, where my mom had a real estate agency. From there, ten years passed in which I exclusively only photographed homes of every kind; hundreds of spaces that allowed me to capture the atmosphere and the emotions within that location.
In 2013, I perfectioned my approach to interior photography when I conducted a home staging course. I learned to personally prepare homes for sale, to increase their aesthetic value, in a time in which the presence of the photographer wasn’t yet known as it is today in the real estate sector. The news that my work was having a large impact spread quickly throughout Rome, and from there I made many connections in the industry– many of which were large real estate groups. For a while I was hired by Engel&Völkers, as their first photographer of the large Metropolitan Market Centre of Rome, but after a year, I followed my own vocation to work as a freelance artist.
In 2017, I started working with the interior design magazine Ville&Casali, and I grew close to the world of architects and of charming hotels, limiting my photography services to luxury real estate agencies.
I consistently follow refresher courses and training on the latest professional photo-retouching softwares specific for interior spaces and architecture, for the development of images intended for web publishing but also for print.
Sometimes I will pass to the other side of the desk as a teacher of interior photography, at the home staging courses of Home Philosophy in Milan.
I live, and have settled in Rome for 12 years now, and I photograph homes all around the world. One of the aspects that renders my job unique is the possibility to travel, to fix, with my camera lens, the personality of homes in every age and style, interiors, gardens, moulded environments of an architectural project, boats, vacation homes, hotels, and tourist accommodation facilities.
I use a Canon 5D mark IV, with lenses specific to the architecture of interiors, and I use natural light, without ever using flash. For some types of projects, I also take photographs with film using my analogue camera and I develop my photos in the dark room.
My Style and my Approach to Interior Photography
Photographing an architectural space is a complex profession. Other than a solid background of technical skills, the composition of the frame and service, post production, and experience in many various situations, it requires a subjective and immaterial component: interpretative capacity, empathy, a profound spirit for observation, and a well-developed personal point of view. My sensibility transfers to the images, and this is why I have the need to really dig deep into every project to grasp its uniqueness.
Interior photography, for me, is an intense process that highlights stratospheric emotions: the story of the home, of the person that has lived it or lives it, its transformations, the professionals that have moulded the areas and have given them a new face, the style, and of course the details that create a unique and sole atmosphere.
To resonate with a space, you need time, concentration, patience, precision, and you have to be meticulous. Those that know me, know how much I can become fussy and determined in my search for my idea of perfection.
When I photograph a home, the natural light is the absolute protagonist. Sometimes it’s my friend and ally, and other times it puts me to the test and it dares me to reach the desired effect in the photo. In any case, it’s an essential component in my photographs.
My photography services are attentive to transmit dialogue and the reciprocal influences between the exterior environment and the home, and the catching of reflections, perspectives, and points of escape– transforming even the imperfections into distinctive elements.
Respect is the value that drives every one of my works: for those that live in the home and open the door for me to see their most intimate spaces, for them, the aesthetic and historic legacy that the home brings with itself, and for the idea that has guided the architect and interior designer.
My idea of luxury expresses itself through details, the perfection of a geometric space, the light that enters into a room with a particular and specific cut, a hotel room curated and staged with its own personality.
I was struck by Edi’s photos and I entrusted her with one of my works. With a large sensibility and professionality, she knew how to take, in the best possible way, the characteristics of my project. With a conscious mix of light and framing, she was able to immortalise the atmospheres. Her images transmit emotions of the environments that she photographs. Edi is a sunny person, available, and empathic; it is a great pleasure working with her. I highly recommend her, and she will certainly collaborate with me on all of my projects.

I always and primarily take care of the concept of the service myself, including the photoshoots and post production.
I have created a team of professionals, whom I trust to satisfy the ulterior needs tied to the communication of a space. Together with them, I offer services of styling to prepare every room and to find accessories and furniture perfect for the mood and the space itself, video, 3D rendering, virtual tours with Matterport, air-bound and birds-eye view videos using drones, and the writing of journalistic articles studied for the publication within interior design magazines to compliment the photography service conducted.
